Above Basketball Academy has trained and developed over 2,000 players in the community over the past ten years and offers the best training around for young players.
Over his 25 years of coaching, Coach Martin has created the blueprint for training young players to become the next outstanding middle and high school players. He has developed successful drills to improve shooting, ball handling, passing, and footwork, all of which focus on teaching an overall understanding of the game and teamwork. Coach Martin has produced more middle school, high school, and collegiate players than any other coach in the area.

About Jim Martin
Above Basketball Academy is directed by one of the most accomplished high school basketball coaches in the state of Florida, Jim Martin. Coach Martin is a four-time recipient of the Coach of the Year Award. His Providence High School Basketball Team won State Championships in 2010, 2013, and 2015 and was recently nationally recognized by Max Preps as a Top 25 Team over the past five years. Since 2010, six of his players have won the local “Player of the Year” award.
Jim Martin has been the head coach of Providence School for 20 years and this his 25th year coaching overall. In that time period, Coach Martin has won three FHSAA State Championships (2010, 2013, 2015) and has made five State Finals appearances. Since 2010, four of his teams have been nationally ranked in the top 25. He has a career record of 521 wins and 109 losses.
